Ordered afternoon tea for Mother's day, and was left very impressed! Would highly recommend the Afternoon tea from here, all baked and made in house! From the lightness of the lemon drizzle cake to the deliciously dense chocolate brownie, it really was incredibly tasty all round! Pituresque setting too, were we not locked down would have no hesitation in making a point of travelling to eat in these beautiful surroundings.

What can I say other than if you need a buffet spread for an occasion please do consider contacting the lovely ladies at the rook house as they are wonderful! We had a family party at the boar inn following our daughters christening service (the boar inn was an amazing setting and wonderful staff too but that’s another review) the ladies at the rook house catered for us beautifully we wanted a simple few sandwiches and wow what a spread they put on for us loads of extras and they put on tea coffee biscuits and children friendly foods all additionally without extra payment! Communicated well with me throughout not at all pushy and nothing too much trouble for them even checked in after the event to ask if it was all ok. They have a beautiful little cafe with a vintage shop, pub opposite and lovely duck pond..great for a visit with kids on a sunny day.. we will definitely be visiting many times with friends this summer. Thank you again ladies x

Pleasant little coffee/tea cake etc room. Loads of atmosphere and first class country location but a little cold for my arthritic joints on cold winter days. I enjoyed my visit and will make it a regular but will add a layer under my coat. Sensible prices too.
